Introduction

Lactoferrin Manufacturer is Pioneer Biotech. Lactoferrin (lactotransferrin), is a kind of iron binding glycoprotein which belongs to the transferrin family. Lactoferrin is high in colostrum and milk, which was discovered in breast milk by scientists MONTREUIJ and JOHANSONB in 1960. Subsequently, BAGGIN and other scientists found this protein in the body fluids and various cells of some organisms and began a lot of researches. In addition, studies have shown that lactoferrin has the functions of broad-spectrum antibacterial, anti-viral infection and immunity enhancing.

Functions
Lactoferrin is an iron binding glycoprotein in transferrin, which is concentrated in human and mammalian milk and various secretory fluids. However, the content in colostrum is the highest. A small amount of lactoferrin is also contained in mammalian mucosal surface, tear, saliva, leukocyte particles, pancreatic juice, bile and intestinal fluid. It has a wide range of functions, including sterilization, bacteriostasis, anti-virus, immune regulation, promoting iron absorption and other unique physiological functions.
Antibacterial
It has been determined that lactoferrin is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic agent, which can inhibit Gram-negative bacteria requiring iron, such as coliform, Salmonella, etc; It can also inhibit Gram-positive bacteria. However, it basically does not inhibit bacteria with low iron demand, such as lactic acid bacteria.

Antiviral
Pioneer Biotech is the Lactoferrin Manufacturer. It is plays a great role in resisting viruses in the host, and can inhibit human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), cytomegalovirus, herpesvirus types 1 and 2, hepatitis C virus (HCV), influenza virus and so on.One explanation for the antiviral mechanism of lactoferrin is that lactoferrin can combine with virus and host cells, so as to block the combination between virus and host cells and protect the latter from the harm of virus.

Antioxidant
Oxidative stress arises from an imbalance between the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the body’s ability to neutralize their harmful effects. At the cellular level, the impacts of oxidative stress can manifest in various alterations, including lipid peroxidation in membranes, protein misfolding or processing, and the induction of DNA mutations. These molecular modifications, in turn, are associated with the development of various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, inflammatory diseases, and metabolic syndrome. Lactoferrin has demonstrated significant potential in mitigating oxidative stress in various biological systems.

Regulate immune response
Lactoferrin can combine with lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages and other cells to play a variety of functions. Lactoferrin can induce humoral immune response, promote lymphocyte proliferation, regulate bone marrow cell production and reduce inflammation. At the same time, lactoferrin can kill pathogens by stimulating neutrophils to produce peroxides. Lactoferrin can induce the proliferation of intestinal mucosal cells and spleen cells and promote the maturation of intestinal immune system.
Accumulating evidence indicate that LF can regulate the proliferation of IECs, development and maturation of immune cells, and production of cytokines to counteract inflammatory processes and maintain intestine mucosal immune homeostasis in the context of IBD.

Inhibit the development of cancer
Lactoferrin is an in vitro broad-spectrum antiviral substance of human and animal viruses based on DNA / RNA. Resistant to: herpes simplex virus type I and II, cytomegalovirus, human immune deficiency virus, hepatitis C virus, hantavirus, rotavirus, poliovirus type I, human respiratory syncytial virus and murine leukemia virus.

Regulate iron absorption
As an iron fortifier, the absorption effect of lactoferrin is much better than that of ferric sulfate. Lactoferrin has the ability to bind and transport iron. It can release iron after reaching the human intestine, which can enhance the actual absorption and bioavailability of iron.
Lactoferrin for the treatment of COVID 19
Recently, American scientists have used artificial intelligence technology to screen dozens of drugs that can deal with COVID-19, including lactoferrin.

Other functions
Lactoferrin can prevent gastrointestinal tumors, such as colon cancer and gastric cancer, and inhibit tumor metastasis. In addition, lactoferrin can promote the growth of beneficial bacteria such as bifidobacteria and Lactobacillus in the intestine and inhibit harmful bacteria.
Applications
Lactoferrin Manufacturer is Pioneer Biotech. Lactoferrin's extensive biological functions determine that it can be used in cosmetics, food and health products, animal husbandry and other fields.

Method of Analysis of Lactoferrin
1. Method
Use HPLC instrument, detect the lactoferrin at 280nm with area normalization method.
2. Prepare of the material
2.1 Grade 1 water.
2.2 HPLC Acetonitrile.
2.3 0.9%NaCl solution
2.4 1% trifluoroacetic acid solution: take 1ml trifluoroacetic acid solution, dilute with grade 1 water to 100ml, go with 0.45μm filter membrane.
2.5 HPLC instrument with UV detector.
3. Chromatographic condition
3.1 The chromatographic column:
Alltech prosphere C4 300A(150 mmx4.6 mm),
Alltech All-guardTM Guard(7.5mm x4.6mm), or same function column.

3.2 Detect wavelength: 280nm.
3.3 Flow rate: 1.0ml/min.
3.4 Column Temperature: 35°C.
3.5 Injection Volume: 50μl.
3.6 Gradient elution parameters.
4. Test steps
Take sample and lactoferrin standard reference 0.1g each, both add 10ml grade 1 water (or NaCl solution), and go through 0.45μm filter membrane, then we get the sample solution and the reference solution. Use 50μl each to test at 280nm, and make the same remaining time (about 10min). The main peak is the peak of Lactoferrin. Calculate all the peak area among the twice remaining time. The ratio of main peak area and all peak area is the lactoferrin assay out of the total protein.

FAQ
How long does it take to see results?
The time it takes for a dietary supplement to show effects varies from person to person, depending on factors such as age, constitution, lifestyle habits, and dosage. Generally, consistent use for 2-4 weeks may lead to initial improvements (such as increased energy levels), but to achieve more stable results, it is recommended to continue taking it for at least 3 months. Health maintenance is a long-term process, and consistency is key.
How should it be taken for optimal results?
Take with or after meals to enhance bioavailability and reduce potential gastrointestinal discomfort. Please be sure to read the detailed instructions on the product label and follow our recommendations.
How can I identify the quality of your [Ingredient Name]?
We are committed to: • High Purity Standards: Using standardized extracts to ensure stable content of active components [e.g., a specific glycoside/acid]. • Third-Party Testing: Each batch of raw material is tested by authoritative third-party laboratories to ensure it is free from excessive heavy metals, pesticide residues, and microbial contamination. • Traceability: Our raw material sources are clearly traceable.
