Introduction
Grape Seeds Extract (GSE) is derived from the whole seeds of Vitis vinifera (Wine Grape). It is one of the richest natural sources of Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins (OPCs), a class of bioflavonoid complexes.

Chemically, OPCs are condensed tannins that serve as powerful antioxidants. Unlike generic extracts, our Grape Seed Extract is optimized for high purity (UV 95%), making it a premium ingredient for anti-aging cosmetics, cardiovascular health supplements, and functional foods. It is often referred to as "Oral Skin Cosmetics" due to its ability to protect collagen and elastin.

Functions
1.Super Antioxidant Activity (MOA)
• Radical Scavenging: OPCs are significantly more potent than Vitamin C and E in neutralizing free radicals (Superoxide anion and Hydroxyl radicals).
• Lipid Protection: Prevents lipid peroxidation in cell membranes, protecting cells from oxidative stress damage.
2.Vitamin C Synergism
• Stabilization: Acts as a "Vitamin C Saver" by regenerating oxidized Vitamin C back to its active form.
• Absorption: Facilitates the absorption and utilization of Vitamin C in the body.

3.Collagen Protection & Skin Health
• Enzyme Inhibition: Inhibits enzymes like collagenase and elastase that degrade skin structure, thereby maintaining skin elasticity and reducing wrinkles.
• UV Protection: Mitigates UV-induced skin damage (photo-aging) by reducing oxidative stress in dermal layers.
4.Circulation Support
• Vascular Health: Strengthens capillaries, arteries, and veins, improving blood circulation and reducing edema (swelling).
Applications
Dietary Supplements:
• Anti-Aging Formulas: Capsules/tablets for skin rejuvenation and wrinkle reduction.
• Vision Health: Often paired with Lutein/Bilberry for eye protection.
• Heart Health: Supplements for blood pressure management and circulation.

Cosmetics & Personal Care:
• Topical Creams: Added to anti-wrinkle creams, sunscreens, and face masks for its antioxidant and collagen-protecting properties.
Functional Foods:
• Beverages: Water-soluble grades available for antioxidant-fortified drinks.
• Preservative: Natural antioxidant to extend shelf life of lipid-rich foods.
Flow Chart
1.Raw Material: Selection of premium Vitis vinifera seeds (Pesticide-free).
2.Cleaning & Separation: Removal of skin and debris.
3.Extraction: Solvent extraction (Ethanol/Water) to isolate polyphenols.
4.Concentration: Vacuum concentration at low temperature.
5.Purification: Resin adsorption to enrich Proanthocyanidins and remove impurities.
6.Spray Drying: Conversion into fine powder.
7.Sieving (80 Mesh): Ensuring uniform particle size.
8.Packaging: Double PE bags in drums/cartons.

Method of Analysis of Lactoferrin
We primarily use UV-Vis Spectrophotometry for routine determination of Total Proanthocyanidins content, ensuring the product meets the ≥95% claim.
• UV Method: Based on the strong absorption of polyphenolic structures at 280nm (or specific colorimetric reaction methods like Vanillin-H2SO4 assay depending on client standard).
Reference Chromatogram of Lactoferrin Reference Substance
(Image Placeholder: UV Spectrum or HPLC Fingerprint of Grape Seed Extract)
A standard HPLC chromatogram reveals distinct peaks for Catechin and Epicatechin (monomers), followed by a range of oligomers. The absence of specific impurity peaks confirms the source authenticity (Grape Seed vs. Pine Bark or Peanut Skin).
Stability and Safety
Stability Studies
• Shelf Life: 24 months when stored properly.
• Long-term Stability (24 months): Samples stored at 25°C/60% RH retained >93% Proanthocyanidins content. Appearance remained a stable brick-red powder without caking.
• Hygroscopicity: Grape Seeds Extract is hygroscopic. It must be kept sealed.
Safety & Handling (MSDS Summary)
• Classification: Non-hazardous substance.
• Storage: Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool, dry place. Avoid exposure to moisture and direct sunlight.
• Handling: Wear mask and gloves. Avoid breathing dust.

FAQ
What is the difference between Grape Seed Extract and Pine Bark Extract?
Both are rich in OPCs (Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins). However, Grape Seed Extract generally has a higher concentration of Gallic acid esters and is often more cost-effective for general antioxidant applications.
Is your Grape Seed Extract water-soluble?
Yes, our standard 95% UV grade has excellent water solubility, making it suitable for beverages, serums, and aqueous cosmetic formulations.
How do you ensure it's not adulterated with Peanut Skin Extract?
We perform rigorous identity testing. While Peanut Skin also contains procyanidins, the HPLC fingerprint differs. We guarantee 100% Vitis vinifera origin and can provide specific monomer analysis (Catechin/Epicatechin ratios) upon request.
