Introduction

P&K

Daidzein (4',7-Dihydroxyisoflavone) is one of the most potent isoflavones found in soybeans (Glycine max), structurally similar to mammalian estrogens. As a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM), it is a critical ingredient in the Nutraceutical and Pharmaceutical industries for balancing hormones and supporting bone density.
Our Daidzein is meticulously purified to reach ≥98% content, offering a clean, off-white powder with excellent solubility for capsule, tablet, and cosmetic cream formulations.

Functions

1.Menopause Support (Hormone Balance)

Daidzein acts as a phytoestrogen, binding weakly to estrogen receptors (ERs). This activity helps alleviate common menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats by mimicking the effect of estrogen when natural levels drop.

2.Bone Health (Osteoporosis Prevention)

Clinical studies suggest that Daidzein stimulates osteoblast (bone-building) activity and inhibits osteoclast (bone-resorbing) function, making it a vital ingredient for preventing post-menopausal bone loss.

3.Skin Anti-Aging

In cosmetics, Daidzein promotes the synthesis of collagen and hyaluronic acid. It also exhibits strong antioxidant properties, protecting skin cells from UV-induced oxidative stress and inhibiting MMPs (enzymes that break down collagen).

Applications

Nutraceuticals:

• Women's Health Supplements: Tablets and capsules for menopause relief.

• Bone Density Formulas: Often combined with Calcium and Vitamin D3.

Cosmetics:

• Anti-Aging Creams: Used for its ability to improve skin elasticity and reduce wrinkle depth.

• Brightening Serums: Helps inhibit tyrosinase activity.

Pharmaceuticals:

• Used as an intermediate or API for drugs treating cardiovascular conditions (e.g., hypertension).

Method of Analysis of Lactoferrin

We utilize High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with a C18 column and UV detection at 254nm.

• Why this matters: HPLC separates Daidzein from other isoflavones like Genistein and Glycitein, ensuring you get the exact purity you paid for, not just "Total Isoflavones."

Reference Chromatogram of Lactoferrin Reference Substance

(Imagine a clean HPLC peak)

The chromatogram shows a single, sharp peak at the Daidzein retention time. Impurities are minimal (<1%), ensuring high efficacy and safety for long-term supplementation.

Stability and Safety

Stability Studies

• Shelf Life: 24 months (2 Years).

• Conditions: Stable under normal room temperature storage when kept dry.

• Light Sensitivity: Sensitive to light; must be stored in light-resistant containers (e.g., foil bags or fiber drums).

• Test Results: Samples stored at 25°C/60% RH retained >97.5% purity after 24 months.

Safety & Handling (MSDS Summary)

• Classification: Non-hazardous substance.

• Storage: Store in a cool, dark, and dry place. Keep container tightly closed.

• Handling:  Avoid inhalation of dust. Standard lab PPE is sufficient.

FAQ

Is your Daidzein natural or synthetic?

We offer both specifications. Our Natural Daidzein is extracted from non-GMO soybeans, ideal for "Clean Label" products. We also offer Synthetic Daidzein for cost-sensitive applications requiring ultra-high purity (>99%). Please specify your preference.

What is the difference between Daidzein and Genistein?

Both are soy isoflavones. Daidzein is often metabolized in the gut into Equol, a highly potent metabolite with stronger estrogenic activity. Some studies suggest Daidzein is better for bone health, while Genistein is often studied for cell regulation.

Can this be used in skincare products?

Yes. Daidzein is an excellent cosmetic ingredient. It is stable in cream bases and offers anti-inflammatory and anti-collagenase benefits. We recommend a usage rate of 0.1% - 0.5%.
