Introduction

N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine (NAG, CAS: 7512-17-6) is an amide derivative of the monosaccharide glucose. It is a fundamental component of structural polymers in the body, including Hyaluronic Acid and Keratan Sulfate.
Unlike regular Glucosamine (which is acidic and often irritating in topical use), NAG has a neutral pH and excellent transdermal absorption. This makes it a star ingredient in Cosmeceuticals for hydration and whitening. 1.Hyaluronic Acid Synthesis (Hydration)
NAG stimulates the production of Hyaluronic Acid by fibroblasts and keratinocytes. By providing the essential substrate, it enhances skin hydration from within, reducing fine lines and improving elasticity.

What is the main difference between Glucosamine and N-Acetyl Glucosamine?
• Glucosamine (HCl/Sulfate): Acidic, salt form, mainly for oral joint supplements. • NAG: Neutral, non-salt form, better for skin absorption and hyaluronic acid synthesis. It is the preferred form for cosmetics.
Is it vegan?

Can I use it with Retinol or Vitamin C?
