Why does it smell?
Sheep placenta is an animal organ tissue. A mild "gamey" odor is natural and indicates the product has not been chemically bleached or stripped of its active proteins. In softgels, this smell is completely contained.
What is the extraction ratio?
Our Freeze-Dried Powder is roughly a 10:1 to 20:1 concentration. 1kg of Freeze-Dried Powder ≈ 10kg - 20kg of Fresh Placenta.
Is it hormone-free?
It contains natural levels of hormones found in the placenta (which are part of its efficacy for menopause), but we do not add synthetic hormones. We test to ensure it meets safety standards for dietary supplements.
