Aloin
Aloin Manufacturer | Natural Aloe Extract (CAS: 1415-73-2) Headline: Premium Aloin Manufacturer | 20%-95% Aloin A+B (CAS: 1415-73-2) Sub-info: Extracted from Aloe barbadensis Miller | Latex-Free Process | HPLC Standardized USP: High Purity Separation | Laxative & Cosmetic Grade | Ready Stock in US/EU
Introduction

Aloin (CAS: 1415-73-2), also known as Barbaloin, is the bitter, yellow-brown colored compound found in the exudate of at least 68 Aloe species, most notably Aloe barbadensis Miller (Curacao Aloe) and Aloe ferox (Cape Aloe). Chemically, it is a C-glycoside derivative of anthraquinone.
As a specialized manufacturer, we utilize advanced Macroporous Resin Separation Technology to isolate high-purity Aloin A+B (ranging from 18% to 95%). Unlike crude aloe extracts, our refined Aloin offers precise dosage control for Pharmaceutical (Laxative) and Cosmetic (Skin Brightening) applications, ensuring consistent efficacy without the variability of raw plant material.

Functions
Aloin is a dual-function bioactive agent with distinct pharmaceutical and cosmetic mechanisms.
1.Stimulant Laxative (MOA - Pharma):
Upon oral ingestion, Aloin is hydrolyzed by colonic bacteria into the active metabolite Aloe-emodin-9-anthrone. This metabolite stimulates peristalsis of the colon and increases water content in the intestinal lumen by inhibiting Na+/K+ ATPase channels, providing effective relief for constipation.
2.Tyrosinase Inhibition (MOA - Cosmetic):
Studies indicate that Aloin inhibits tyrosinase activity (the enzyme responsible for melanin production) competitively. This makes it a potent natural Skin Whitening Agent, effectively reducing hyperpigmentation and UV-induced darkening.
3.Anti-Inflammatory & Antimicrobial:
It inhibits the cyclooxygenase (COX-2) pathway, reducing skin inflammation and redness. It also exhibits broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli, aiding in acne treatment.

Applications
Pharmaceuticals & Supplements:
• Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) in stimulant laxative tablets, capsules, and herbal detox teas.

Cosmetics & Personal Care:
• Whitening Serums: For its depigmenting properties.
• Acne Treatments: Utilizing its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects.
• After-Sun Repair: Soothes UV-damaged skin.

Agrochemicals:
• Used as a natural biopesticide due to its bitter taste and antifeedant properties against certain crop pests.

Method of Analysis of Lactoferrin
1. Instruments
High performance liquid chromatograph, P3100 high pressure constant flow pump, UV3100 UV detector.
2. Reagents
Methanol is chromatographically pure and water is ultrapure water.
3. Chromatographic conditions
• Chromatographic column: C18 column (5um) 4.6×250nm
• Mobile phase: methanol-1% glacial acetic acid (60:40)
• Column temperature: room temperature
• Flow rate: 1.0ml/min
• Detection wavelength: 293nm.
4 The preparation of the reference solution
Precisely weigh 10.0 mg of the reference substance aloe verain, dissolve it in methanol, and dilute to 100 ml as the reference substance solution.
5. Preparation of sample solution
Precisely weigh an appropriate amount of the sample, dissolve it in methanol, and dilute to 100ml as the sample solution.

Stability and Safety
Stability Studies
• Shelf Life: 24 months.
• Light Sensitivity: Aloin is highly sensitive to light and oxidizes to Aloe-emodin (which is darker) upon exposure.
• pH Stability: Most stable in acidic to neutral pH (3.0 - 6.0). Rapidly degrades in alkaline solutions.
• Storage: Must be stored in light-resistant containers (double PE bags inside fiber drums) in a cool, dry place.
Safety & Handling (MSDS Summary)
• Classification: Irritant (Xi).
• Handling: Avoid inhalation of dust. Bitter taste may persist if airborne dust is ingested. Wear mask and gloves.
• Dosage Warning: As a laxative, strict adherence to recommended dosage is required to prevent abdominal cramping.

FAQ
What is the difference between Aloin A and Aloin B?
They are diastereomers. Naturally, Aloin exists as a mixture. Over time or during processing, they can interconvert. Our specification measures the sum of both (A+B) to ensure total potency.
Is this product suitable for "Aloe Vera Gel" drinks?
No. Aloin is the laxative component found in the leaf latex (yellow sap). "Aloe Vera Gel" drinks typically require the removal of Aloin (<10ppm) to avoid the laxative effect. This product is for specific laxative or cosmetic applications, not general beverage consumption.
How do you control the bitter taste?
Aloin is naturally intensely bitter (used as a bitterness standard). For oral supplements, we recommend encapsulation to mask the taste.
